VARIETY OF CAMERA SHOTS

Welcome back everyone!

This post is going to feature all the different shots we took as a group for our preliminary task, hopefully this'll introduce a variety of camera angels to you.

SHOT ONE
The first shot taken is called an establishing shot as it captures the setting but still shows me walking up the stairs. This works very nicely as I am represented to be vulnerable, due to my tall surroundings (trees, lamp posts etc.).

SHOT TWO

The close up. My walk up the stairs took me to a tree full of berries, which I then ate! I like this because even though it captions my facial expression/emotions, both the berries and background landscape are still focused on.

SHOT THREE

After eating the poisonous berries, I begin to hallucinate in this long shot. This is effective because all of my body is in the picture but a lot of the location is too.

SHOT FOUR AND FIVE...

The next 2 shots are all the same shot taken from a different angle. These are really interesting as shot 4 is taken in the shade, which makes the setting appear to be dull and scary. Whereas shot 5 (taken the opposite direction) creates a happy, gentle story with the sunshine beaming through.

SHOT SIX
Shot 6 is a low angle shot. Me being sat on the floor with Holly above me represents Holly to have all the power. This is after hallucinating from the berries!

SHOT SEVEN

Next up is an extreme close up (ECU) of me on the floor dead! Extreme close ups are really helpful to understand the characters emotions and to relate with them.

SHOT EIGHT

This is an over the shoulder shot of Holly looking at me, lying dead on the floor. I like this as it once again follows the story of Holly being the scary antagonist and me being the innocent protagonist. Also, it gives the audience a feel of Holly's point of view.

SHOT NINE:THE LAST ONE

This is simply a shot of Holly running away after finding my dead body. It's called a tilt shot as it's basically taken, at a tilted angle. This gives more of an edgy look to it than just a straight forward shot of Holly running away.
